Payroll Specialist (6 months contract) – Cape Town

Job Description

Our client is  looking for a Payroll Specialist with solid compensation & benefits experience to serve as the HR project lead for the implementation of our new time and attendance system. You will oversee

our outsourced payroll and perform any monthly input, checking, or output activities for the entire

payroll cycle, as well as all taxation compliance activities such as annual returns and reporting. You

will also be expected to stay current on legislative changes and to put them into effect as needed. As

the primary contact render for payroll matters, you will act as the internal advisor on compensation

& benefits matters related to onboarding and exit staff

 

A minimum of three years of solid end-to-end payroll processing experience

Monthly payroll processing (Hours, new employees, terminated employees, Change in

Status, etc.)

In-depth knowledge and experience with remuneration solutions and employee benefits

Thorough understanding of payroll taxes and SARS Statutory Requirements (EMP201,

EMP501, Tax Directives, etc.)

Time & Attendance system knowledge aligned to the payroll function

Solid understanding of current legislative requirements and regulations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers

Strong attention to detail and discretion, with the ability to work confidentially

The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure. Outstanding work ethic,

organisation, and time management abilities
