Senior Data Analyst/Auditor  – Cape Town

Job Description

Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Senior Data Analyst/Auditor to join their team in the Internal Audit Department.

Must have:

• Background in Auditing
• BSc or B.Com in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ Statistics with related supporting certifications, e.g. business analysis certifications, etc; or B.COM IT in Informatics
• CISA Certification (Desirable)
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in large complex data driven organisation in a mixture of business audit (business knowledge) and data analysis/business specification writing.
• Experience with analysis methodologies, process disciplines & SDLC methodologies.
• Experience in Data Migrations through the use of analytic tools (MS SQL, MS Access, ACL etc) to determine validity, accuracy and completeness of data moving from the source system to the target system.
• Experience with performing complex business specification development across a variety of business areas, business processes and technologies instructing data analysis work to be done by the data analysts.
• Retail system and application concepts and experience helpful. (Desirable)  
• On the job knowledge and experience in database formats and structures as well as extractions tools.
