Application Maintenance & IT Support Specialist (Contract) – Cape Town

Our client in the Petrochemical Industry is seeking an Application Maintenance & IT Support specialist to join their team on a contract basis.

The  application maintenance & IT support is responsible for managing the resolution of application and system issues that arise across the sales and marketing, including retail applications.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10 or more years IT experience
• 5+ years in applications maintenance and support
• Experience in a retail environment is preferable e.g. Card transaction switching, VAS, Loyalty, Flexilane / TRAC’s  experience will be an added advantage
• SAP SD, Commerce Cloud/ e-Commerce and CRM experience preferable
• SQL and Power BI experience is a plus
• Strong sales and marketing business understanding and systems knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of successfully delivering solutions in sales and marketing
• Development background required to provide guidance on technical/development solutions and oversight of vendors delivering such solutions
