Job Description

Our client in the oil and gas industry is seeking a Risk Analyst to join their team.  You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and mitigating risks associated with the petroleum operations, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that ensure the safety of our workforce, protect the environment, and safeguard company assets etc.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Auditing/ Economics / BCom or related field.
• Advantageous (CA(SA) /Certificate in Risk Management).
• Have at least 2+ years Audit, Risk or Compliance experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
• Proven experience in risk management, preferably within the petroleum industry or a related sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends and patterns.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to health, safety, environment, and operational risk management.
• Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, statistical analysis, and risk modelling techniques.
